Your site is displaying in the Google Search Results
So the first thing you should do is to make sure that your site gets into Google’s index. You need to make your site crawlable and indexable.
For you know if your site is being indexed and crawled. You can search for your site’s home URL in the Google Search. If you see results, that means you’re in the index. But if you didn’t find your site, make sure to check other pages from google result. Sometimes obvious reasons why it’s hard for your site to rank, if your business name is similar other large companies or if it represents a broad term. But it’s not an SEO problem, it’s more on in business naming.
Provide High-Quality Content in Your Site
Another thing to know if you are ranking on Google; if you have high-quality content posted along with your website design. As you might know that creating high-quality content is a prerequisite to rank on Google. But knowing on how to determine a high-quality content is different. But take note of the ways to define it.
You can determine a high-quality content if it is unique and original. Make sure that your content is useful or helpful to your customers, you can create videos of “how-to guides and tutorials” or create lists of helpful resources.
You can also determine if your content is high-quality if it’s popular among people on the internet. Make a content that ties up to popularity. A content that attracts links and social shares.
To check your content’s link popularity you can use with Ahrefs. Just by dropping the URL in Ahrefs Site Explorer so you be able to the number of backlinks you have received and the number of referring domains.
If you see that you’re not receiving any backlinks or there are no referring domains, that’s your cue to check the quality of your content.
Work on Your Site Speed
Create content that can be accessed by various mobile devices as you should be mindful that 80% of your customers are using mobile devices. Your website’s speed is important to determine if you’re ranking on Google as it has a huge impact on your users’ experience. You have to make sure that your website design is optimized and well organized.
Even just 1-second of delay in load time may result in 7% loss in conversions and having a fewer page view by 11%.
